The AHRQ Evidence-Based Care Challenge

AHRQ invites you to use the principles of heath literacy to develop resources on otitis media OR screening for obesity in children and adolescents for nurse practitioners (NPs) and physician assistants (PAs) in retail settings.

Challenge entrants must:

Use as the basis for their projects the research findings from the AHRQ Health Literacy report, plus the Otitis Media report or the Screening for Obesity in Children and Adolescents report (i.e., Health Literacy + Otitis media OR Health Literacy + Screening for Obesity).
Involve at least one practicing NP or PA in the team. Multi-disciplinary teams are encouraged.
Develop a resource in any form or format, including print and electronic media.

Submissions, due October 19, 2012, will be scored by an expert panel.
The winning team will receive a $7,500 “seed funding” award to implement their resource in a retail setting.
The 2nd place team will receive $1,000 support for designated team members to attend a relevant conference.
