U.S. yields up from record lows on Spain report

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Treasury prices pared gains in afternoon trading Thursday, lifting yields up from record lows, after The Wall Street Journal reported that the International Monetary Fund has started contingency planning for a rescue loan for Spain if the country can't find the funds needed to bailout lender Bankia SA . Yields on 10-year notes , which move inversely to prices, fell 3 basis points to 1.60%, up from their record low of 1.54%.
