Secretary of Defense Leon E. Panetta announced the following Department of Defense Senior Executive Service appointments and reassignments:
Vikram J. Singh has been appointed to the Senior Executive Service and is assigned as deputy assistant secretary of defense for south and Southeast Asia, Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (Policy), Washington, D.C. Singh previously served as special assistant, Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (Policy), Washington, D.C.
William J. Tinston has been appointed to the Senior Executive Service and is assigned as program executive officer, Defense Logistics Agency information operations, Defense Logistics Agency, Fort Belvoir, Va. Tinston previously served as information technology specialist, Defense Logistics Agency, Fort Belvoir, Va.
Robert Scher has been assigned as deputy assistant secretary of defense for plans, Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (Policy), Washington, D.C. Scher previously served as deputy assistant secretary of defense for south and Southeast Asia, Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (Policy), Washington, D.C.
Alisa Stack has been assigned as principal deputy director, task force on business stability operations, Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (Policy), Washington, D.C. Stack previously served as foreign relations and defense policy manager (Afghanistan, Pakistan and Central Asia), Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (Policy), Washington, D.C.
