General Officer Announcements


Secretary of Defense Leon E. Panetta announced today that the President has made the following nominations:
Army Lt. Gen. Michael T. Flynn, for reappointment to the rank of lieutenant general, and for assignment as director, Defense Intelligence Agency, Washington, D.C. Flynn is currently serving as the assistant director of national intelligence for partner engagement, Office of the Director of National Intelligence, Washington, D.C.
Army Maj. Gen. Theodore C. Nicholas, for appointment to the rank of lieutenant general, and for assignment as assistant director of national intelligence for partner engagement, Office of the Director of National Intelligence, Washington, D.C. Nicholas is currently serving as deputy director, Signals Intelligence Directorate, National Security Agency, Fort Meade, Md.
Army Reserve Col. Francisco A. Espaillat, for appointment to the rank of brigadier general, and for assignment as mobilization assistant to the deputy director (individual mobilization augmentee), Defense Logistics Agency, Fort Belvoir, Va. Espaillat is currently serving as project manager, combined arms tactical trainers (Army Guard Reserve), Program Executive Office-Simulation, Training and Instrumentation, Orlando, Fla.
