DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY
Paranetics Technology, Inc.*, San Luis, Ariz., was issued a firm-fixed-price contract, partial set-aside with a maximum $220,590,000 for low-cost, low velocity parachutes. There are no other locations of performance. Using services are Army and Marine Corps. There were nine responses to the Web proposal. Type of appropriation is fiscal 2012 through 2015 Defense Working Capital Funds. The date of performance completion is April 16, 2013. The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation, Richmond, Va., is the contracting activity (SPM4A7-12-D-0075).
Ballistic Recovery Systems, Inc.*, South Saint Paul, Minn., was issued a firm-fixed-price, partial set-aside contract with a maximum $197,094,600 for low-cost, low velocity parachutes. Other locations of performance are Pinebluff, N.C., and Pompano Beach, Fla. Using services are Army and Marine Corps. There were nine responses to the Web proposal. Type of appropriation is fiscal 2012 through 2015 Defense Working Capital Funds. The date of performance completion is April 16, 2013. Mills Manufacturing Corp.*, Asheville, N.C., was issued a firm-fixed-price, partial set-aside contract with a maximum $196,236,864 for low-cost, low velocity parachutes. Atlantic Machinery, Inc.*, Silver Spring, Md., was issued a fixed-price with economic price adjustment contract with a maximum $157,500,000 for environmental equipment. Other locations of performance are Green Cove Springs, Fla., and Huntsville, Ala. U sing services are Army, Navy, Marine Corps and federal civilian agencies. There were 12 responses to the proposal. Saab Baccacuda, L.L.C., Lillington, N.C., was issued a firm-fixed-price contract, partial set-aside with a maximum $117,733,500 for low-cost, low velocity parachutes. There are no other locations of performance. Using services are Army and Marine Corps. There were nine responses to the Web proposal. ARMY
Pocal Industries, Inc., Scranton, Pa. (W52P1J-12-D-0028); Day & Zimmerman Lone Star, L.L.C., Camden, Ark. (W52P1J-12-D-0029); and American Ordnance, L.L.C., Middletown, Iowa (W52P1J-12-D-0030), were awarded a $128,900,000 firm-fixed-price multiple-award-task-order contract between three contractors. The award will provide for the procurement of 60mm and 81mm load assemble pack ignition cartridges and complete inert ignition cartridges. Work location will be determined with each task order, with an estimated completion date of May 31, 2017. The bid was solicited through the Internet, with four bids received. L-3 Communications, Salt Lake City, Utah, was awarded an $85,000,000 firm-fixed-price cost-plus-fixed-fee indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract. The award will provide for the services in support of the beyond line of sight command and control quick reaction capability. Science Applications International Corp., McLean, Va., was awarded a $37,500,000 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract. The award will provide for the environmental services in support of hazardous toxic and radioactive waste remediation. General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems, Inc., St. Petersburg, Fla., was awarded a $32,122,972 firm-fixed-price contract. The award will provide for the modification of an existing contract to procure M11330 105mm high explosive pre-formed fragmentation base bleed cartridges. NAVY
Electric Boat Corp., Groton, Conn., is being awarded a $78,089,000 undefinitized contract action for long-lead-time material associated with the fiscal 2014 Virginia class submarine (SSN 792). This contract provides long-lead-time material for steam and electric plant components, the main propulsion unit efforts and ship service turbine generator efforts, and miscellaneous hull, mechanical and electrical system components to support SSN 792 ship construction commencing in fiscal 2014. Work will be performed in Sunnyvale, Calif. (60 percent); Coatsville, Pa. (10 percent); Tempe, Ariz. (5 percent); Groton, Conn. (3 percent); Newport News, Va. (3 percent); and other efforts performed at various sites throughout the United States (19 percent). Work is expected to be completed by January 2013. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The contract was not competitively awarded. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N00024-12-C-2115).
BAE Systems Technology Solutions & Services, Inc., Rockville, Md., is being awarded a $35,932,485 modification to a previously awarded cost-plus-fixed-fee contract (N00421-09-C-0102) to exercise an option for engineering and technical services and supplies for the design, development, integration, test and evaluation, maintenance and logistics support of communication-electronic platform, equipment, systems and subsystems in support of the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division's Special Communications Requirements Division. The estimated level of effort for this option is 391,000 man-hours. Work will be performed in Chesapeake, Va. (31 percent); California, Md. (26 percent); St. Inigoes, Md. (17 percent); Spring Lake, N.C. (13 percent); Washington, D.C. (5 percent); Hollywood, Md. (3 percent); San Diego, Calif. (3 percent); Afghanistan (1 percent); Fort Walton Beach, Fla. (0.7 percent); and Panzer Kaserne, Germany (0.3 percent). Work is expected to be completed in May 2013. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, St. Inigoes, Md., is the contracting activity.
JF Taylor, Inc.*, Lexington Park, Md., is being awarded a $26,415,163 firm-fixed-price contract for the upgrade of two MH-60R and two MH-60S avionics maintenance trainers; three MH-60R weapons load trainers; and two MH-60S mission configuration trainer/weapons load trainers. Work will be performed in Lexington Park, Md. (53 percent); Tampa, Fla. (15.4 percent); Sterling, Va. (13.8 percent); Norfolk, Va. (8.5 percent); San Diego, Calif. (5.9 percent); and Jacksonville, Fla. (3.4 percent), and is expected to be completed in December 2015. Contract funds in the amount of $5,126,583 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via an electronic request for proposals as a 100-percent small business set-aside; two offers were received. The Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division, Orlando, Fla., is the contracting office (N61340-12-C-0018).
AIR FORCE
The Boeing Co., St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a $9,353,862 firm-fixed-price contract to procure focused lethality munitions Small Diameter Bomb I variant. The location of the performance is St. Louis, Mo. Work is to be completed by Dec. 31, 2013. AAC/EBMK, Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., is the contracting activity (FA8672-12-C-0039).
