Jobless rates down in 29 states, up in 8 in Feb.; payroll jobs up in 42 states, down in 8

In February, 29 states reported over-the-month unemployment rate decreases, 8 had increases, and 13 and the District of Columbia had no change. Nonfarm payroll employment increased in 42 states and the district and decreased in 8 states.
