WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) -- The House on Tuesday approved a bill that aims to make it easier for small companies to raise money from investors. House members voted 380-41 to send the bill to President Barack Obama for signature. Obama strongly supports the Jumpstart Our Business Startups Act -- which has already passed the Senate -- but critics say the bill won't create jobs and puts investors at risk by loosening regulations.
