Nissan U.S. February sales up 15.5%

CHICAGO (MarketWatch) -- Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. said Thursday that U.S. auto sales rose 15.5% in February to a record 106,731 units, lead by strong sales of the Altima. The company sold 32,953 Altima units during the month, a 58% increase from February 2011. Nissan Rogue sales climbed 17%, while Maxima sales rose 24%. Infiniti sales were up 1%. Among brands that saw declines, Sentra sales were down 16%.
