Assistant Secretary for European and Eurasian Affairs Philip H. Gordon will deliver remarks at the International Institute for Strategic Studies in Washington, DC on “The United States and Europe: Meeting Global Challenges” March 1, 2012. He will provide the U.S. perspective on the state of the transatlantic relationship, underscoring that in dealing with the challenges of the day, the strategic alignment between the United States and Europe has never been greater.
Andrew Parasiliti, Executive Director, IISS-US, and Corresponding Director, IISS-Middle East, will provide introductory remarks and moderate the discussion and question and answer period. Assistant Secretary Gordon’s remarks will be part of the IISS-US Policy Makers Series.
This event is open to the public and the media.
