LOS ANGELES (MarketWatch) -- The euro shot higher early Tuesday after reports said European finance officials had signed off on a fresh aid package for Greece to help that nation avoid a messy sovereign default. The euro rose to $1.3291 within minutes of the news, up from $1.3243 late Monday, and marking a 0.7% gain for the day, according to FactSet data. Against the yen, the euro jumped to 105.92, a 0.8% daily rise, according to FactSet.
