Field update—February 20th, 2012
from Obama 2012 Blog
Michigan volunteer Rosa describes the chain of events that took her from the Tuskegee Institute to Montgomery, Alabama to an Obama 2012 office in Pontiac:

Rosa went on to graduate from Tuskegee and work at an auto plant in Pontiac, Michigan. She is a proud UAW retiree. In 2008, she volunteered for Barack Obama's campaign. "It was not only inspiring to bring the first African American to the White House, but to elect someone with a clear vision and purpose of making this country a better, more prosperous place—someone who truly understood what it is like to care about your community and working together to solve problems."

For 2012, Rosa is back at the OFA Oakland County headquarters recruiting more volunteers to help re-elect President Obama.

"This is the most important thing right now—we can’t lose the progress we’ve made. Activism is what you do every day, not a one-time event."
