General Officer Announcement


The chief of staff, Air Force announced today the following assignments:
Maj. Gen. Otis G. Mannon, vice commander, Air Force Special Operations Command, Hurlburt Field, Fla., to chief of staff, Headquarters U.S. Africa Command, Stuttgart, Germany.
Maj. Gen. Michael J. Kingsley, who has been selected for the rank of Lieutenant General, commander, 23rd Air Force/director, operations, Air Force Special Operations Command, Hurlburt Field, Fla., to vice commander, Air Force Special Operations Command, Hurlburt Field, Fla.
Brig. Gen. Timothy J. Leahy, director of knowledge and futures, J7/9, U.S. Special Operations Command, MacDill Air Force Base, Fla., to commander, 23rd Air Force/director, operations, Air Force Special Operations Command, Hurlburt Field, Fla.
Brig. Gen. Jeffrey R. McDaniels, deputy director of operations, deputy chief of staff for operations, plans and requirements, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C., to deputy director for operations, National Joint Operations and Intelligence Center, Operations Team One, J-3, Joint Staff, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.
