Belgium Prime Minister enroute to resign, state television says

(CNN) — Belgium’s Prime Minister Yves Leterme is enroute to the Royal
Palace to offer his resignation, state television broadcast on Friday.

Leterme’s possible resignation comes amid scandal and an ongoing
investigation into the government’s sale of Fortis Bank to BNP Paribas of
France.

BNP Paribas took a 75 percent stake in the troubled bank in October.
