State Rep. Craig DeRoche, R-Novi, claims that Republicans invested more in higher education than even Gov. Jennifer Granholm called for, and it was done without a tax increase. The truth is that DeRoche's higher education budget was cut mid-year due to revenue shortfalls.During the past decade, the GOP leadership has repeatedly disinvested in higher education.
