House Democrats Adam Schiff and Artur Davis introduced a resolution yesterday calling for Gonzales' removal, stating that he failed to "assure the public that the laws of the nation are being enforced in an independent, nonpartisan and judicious manner."As Republican Senator Arlen Specter said Sunday, Congress's response is "a very forceful, historical statement" -- not the "meaningless political act" the White House would like Americans to believe.It's time for that to change, and that will only happen if we put a Democrat in the White House.
