He was reacting to the repeated request by the US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to meet with Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki provided Iran accepts full suspension of its uranium enrichment and reprocessing programs. Also, speaker of the US House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, and a number of other democrat representatives of the House have offered to travel to Iran and hold talks with the Iranian officials.Though, he noted that contrary to the US administration, "the US Congress is, more or less and generally speaking, observing international regulations and agreements." This news follows reports earlier this week that Pelosi and democrats were open to meet with officials in Iran.On Friday, a top Iranian minister in the Tehran parliament said Iran would favour talks with US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
