Hans Blix: Nuclear proliferation is all George Bush's fault« Thread Started on Oct 19, 2006, 4:33pm » --------------------------------------------------------------------------------Hans Blix: Nuclear proliferation is all George Bush's faultread at source: http://www.americanthinker.com/comments ... d=6386From Vital Perspective:Former IAEA Director-General Hans Blix says that President Bush’s nuclear policies are responsible for worldwide nuclear proliferation. In an interview in the German daily Die Welt, Blix said that “The U.S. has sent a signal of arrogance, a signal that the rest of the world should do what the U.S. demands but the U.S. is above it all and can do what they like.”Blix stressed that the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) was not falling apart. “The death of NPT is highly exaggerated. Both the problems of Libya and Iraq have been solved. North Korea and Iran are countries open to negotiations,” Blix said. “The real threat to the NPT comes from the failure of the large nuclear states to live up to their obligation under the treaty to disarm. There is an unease by the non-nuclear states that they are being cheated by the nuclear states.”North Korea/ Iran open to negotiations? They have cheated on a raft of agreements made with the IAEA, with America, with South Korea. Iran has bogged down the Europeans in an endless round of “negotiations” which have only given them more time to develop nuclear weapons. By the way, Hans, whatever problems that existed with Iraq were solved by Israel’s strike against the Osirak nuclear power plant and by the American invasion. Libya’s nuclear program was terminated by virtue of the Proliferation Security Initiative: an American creation spearheaded by John Bolton and by Khadafi’s reaction to the American overthrow of Saddam Hussein.Ed Lasky 10 19 06
