Many people wonder why it took so long for the president to realize this. As of Friday, 2,784 U.S. service members had been killed in fighting in Iraq, according to the Department of Defense. Saturday, three more Marines were killed in combat in Anbar province, making October the deadliest month for American forces in Iraq this year. The deaths raised the October toll to 78, surpassing the previous high figure of 76 in April. The skyrocketing death figure meant October, with more than a week left, was on course to be the deadliest month for American service members in two years. It’s easy to dump on Bush for America’s mistakes in Iraq. The man has a tough job and it’s not all his fault, but America never should have invaded Iraq in the first place.read at source: http://www.zwire.com/site/news.cfm?news ... 8168&rfi=6
