When I began this campaign more than two years ago, I knew then, as I am sure you did, that this race would belong not to the sprinter but to the runner with the heart to go the marathon distance.You have helped me with your support, your voices at rallies across the country, and your commitment to the issues that are important to your families and your communities.Thank you for that support.Now it is time to bring victory home.
One week from today, Americans will exercise the right that goes to the heart of our great democracy: the right to vote.
The future of our country and the communities we care about depends on us exercising that right.In many states, the African-American vote will determine whether George Bush goes back to the White House or home to Crawford, Texas.
You know it and the Republicans know it, which is why it is so important that you vote and that you urge your family and friends to vote.
Together we cannot be defeated. Please vote for me, John Edwards and other Democrats on November 2.
