Don't Sit on the Sidelines« Thread Started on Jul 22, 2004, 8:48pm » --------------------------------------------------------------------------------Don't Sit on the SidelinesImagine waking up the day after Election Day and thinking, "I could have done more."Don't let that happen!Dear America,In just seven days, we'll all be watching as John Kerry accepts the Democratic nomination for president of the United States. Then the real fun starts. At that moment, we kick off the official start of the campaign to send George W. Bush back to Crawford, Texas. Now, this isn't going to be the kind of campaign where we can sit on the sidelines and watch John Kerry and John Edwards march to victory. If we're going to win big in November, we all have to get involved.I don't think I need to remind you how important it is for Democrats up and down the ballot for you to get involved in this fight. (https://www.democrats.org/support/index ... sc=NETA218) George W. Bush and his cronies are turning our country into an America we don't recognize. Can you imagine what it would be like after four more years under their incompetent leadership? I don't like to think about it.In 1992 and 1996, I saw what it takes to win an election for the most powerful office in the world, and I'm telling you right now that the Democratic Party is a vital part of that equation. Without the support of the DNC, John Kerry and John Edwards -- and other Democrats all over the country -- wouldn't have a chance. The Democratic Party is responsible for turning out the votes that will win this election. We know how close elections can be -- a margin of just 537 votes in Florida decided the race in 2000 -- and that's why it's going to take everything we have to win this race, and make sure that we still recognize America four years from now.(https://www.democrats.org/support/index ... sc=NETA218)And the Democratic Party can't play that vital role without you. I've never seen a Democratic Party more aggressive, more ready to take on the Republicans than the one we have right now. But they must have your support. Do you want to wake up the day after Election Day and wonder if you could have done more? That's why I'm urging you now -- today -- to support the Democratic Party with a donation. (https://www.democrats.org/support/index ... sc=NETA218) When John Kerry accepts the nomination and we kick off the campaign to send Bush back to Crawford, I know the DNC will be there to stand behind him. But they need your help to do it.With your help, we can beat them so decisively that even the Supreme Court can't bail them out.https://www.democrats.org/support/James Carville
