Oregon and Louisiana played host to the Drafting Committee hearings, with New Mexico on deck and Miami, Florida hosting the meeting of the full Platform Committee. Along with providing testimony directly to the committee, hundreds of Americans also provided written testimony online through the DNC's web site."Democrats will draw upon the great diversity of America as we build the Platform for the 2004 Democratic National Convention," DNC Chairman Terry McAuliffe said in announcing the hearing schedule. "After nearly four years of the Bush administration, Americans are desperate for the opportunity to put the country back on track. That's John Kerry's goal and that's the goal of the Democratic Party."
