Dear Friend,

Earlier this afternoon I went to the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections and filed as a candidate in Ohio's 9th Congressional District. The campaign is officially on, and I need your help right now. We have less than 70 days until what we expect will be a very competitive primary and just three days until the important quarterly fundraising deadline.

Please click here to donate $25, $50, or $100 right now to help us keep our voice in Congress.

Our campaign will focus on jobs and peace - supporting Ohioans and challenging Washington.

In my time in Congress I have helped save and/or create thousands of jobs in manufacturing, health care, advanced technology, space and aeronautics. I have worked to help save Ohioan's homes, rebuild neighborhoods, to protect the quality of our air and water, and to preserve Lake Erie as a source of drinking water and recreation. If nominated and re-elected, I intend to continue these efforts and extend them to the new district which reaches out to Lorain and west to Toledo.

And I will continue to seek peace and reform. While wars continue to break out, America must resist the impulse to join in the carnage. We must stop spending money on war. We must stop trying to tell others how to live. We must care for our veterans. We must focus on taking care of things here at home: Create jobs through changes in monetary policy, work to build housing for all, health care for all, education for all, retirement security for all, clean air, clean water and peace. We can do this and more, if we have the courage to change our nation and steer it away from the control of corporations through real campaign spending reform which outlaws all private money in the election process.

I have never been afraid to stand up and speak out and challenge 'powers which seem omnipotent.' As we officially start this campaign, I am optimistic, hopeful and forward looking.

With respect,

Dennis Kucinich

P.S. We're making calls here from our HQ all afternoon as we approach Saturday's important quarterly fundraising deadline. Please help us by donating ( http://images.myngp.com/LinkTracker.asp ...
