Retrospective Regulatory Review

Last August, BIS published a notice in the Federal Register looking for comments on a retrospective regulatory review mandated by Executive Order 13563, "Improving Regulation and Regulatory Review." In that notice of inquiry, BIS asked for comments on aspects of the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) that are not immediately affected by the ongoing Export Control Reform Initiative, but that could be clarified or streamlined to be more effective or less burdensome.
