Postby admin » Tue Nov 29, 2011 1:02 pm

On November 30, 2011 from 2:00 – 3:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, the U.S. Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) will hold a webinar on its New “Best Practices” for Industry to Guard against Unlawful Diversion through Transshipment Trade. This webinar will explain how industry comments received by BIS eventually led to the publication of the seven best practices; how BIS is planning to respond to new comments; and how industry and government can continue to work together to broaden the awareness of diversion risks and ensure compliance with US export control regulations and laws. The webinar will be presented by Gerry Horner and Donald Creed of the Office of Technology Evaluation – the authors of the best practice document.
The cost is $15. Participants must register for this event at https://emenuapps.ita.doc.gov/ePublic/n ... tCode=2Q3L
