Obama: Iraq War over, troops home by year-end
WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) - President Barack Obama on Friday said the Iraq War will come to an end by Dec. 31 and all U.S. troops will leave the country by that date. "The U.S. is moving forward from a position of strength. The long war in Iraq will come to an end by the end of this year," Obama said. "Our troops are finally coming home," he said. The President said that, after a decade of war, "the nation that we need to build and the nation we will rebuild, is our own."
