Assistant Secretary for Democracy, Human Rights & Labor Michael Posner to Discuss Internet Freedom and Corporate Responsibility

On October 25, 2011, Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights & Labor Michael Posner will give the keynote address at the Silicon Valley Human Rights Conference in San Francisco, CA. Assistant Secretary Posner will discuss U.S. Government efforts to support the development of technologies that combat internet censorship, the growing efforts by repressive regimes to curtail fundamental freedoms for on-line activity, and the responsibility of technology corporationsto respect human rights.
The event will take place on Monday, October 25, 2011, at 9:45am at the Mission Bay Conference Center, 1675 Owens St., San Francisco, CA 94158.
Assistant Secretary Posner will be available to the press following the event.
