CONTRACTS
NAVY
Huntington Ingalls Inc., Newport News, Va., is being awarded a $118,977,769 modification under a previously awarded contract (N00024-10-C-2102) for engineering, technical, design, configuration management, integrated logistics support, database management, research and development, modernization, trade, and industrial support for nuclear submarines, submarine classes Los Angeles, Seawolf, Virginia, Ohio SSBN, and Ohio SSGN, special mission submersible interfaces, submarine support facilities, as well as Foreign Military Sales programs.. Contract funds in the amount of $260,000 will be obligated at this time. Work will be performed in Newport News, Va., and is expected to be completed by September 2012. If fully funded, contract funds in the amount of $50,356,254 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year, using fiscal 2012 Operations and Maintenance Navy funds. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.
General Dynamics - Ordnance and Tactical Systems, Saint Petersburg, Fla., is being awarded an $18,110,480 modification under a previously awarded firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract (M67854-05-D-6014) to exercise the final option for the procurement of 75 full rate production internally transportable vehicles (ITVs) together with their corresponding basic issue item kits and additional authorization list hardware. The ITV is a Marine Corps program to field an expeditionary vehicle supporting over-the-horizon amphibious operations, irregular warfare and enhanced company operations. The ITV will provide a deployed Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF) with a ground vehicle that is internally transportable in the MV-22 tilt-rotor aircraft and CH-53 helicopter, as well as the Army MH-47 helicopters and Air Force CV-22 tilt-rotor aircraft. The vehicle will serve primarily as a high mobility weapons-capable platform to support a variety of operations to provide ground units equal or greater mobility than the MAGTF maneuver elements they support, thereby enhancing their mission performance and survivability. Work will be performed in Robbins, N.C (39 percent); Forest, Va. (37 percent); Columbus, Ohio (14 percent); and Reno, Nev. (10 percent). Work is expected to be completed by December 2012. Contract funds will be obligated on delivery order 0033 and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, Va., is the contracting activity.
