The President's 2014 budget calls for the elimination of about $44 B dollars in tax breaks to oil and gas companies. The breaks are available to major and independent domestic fossil fuel producers. Bloomberg Government's Anthony Costello discussed the types of tax breaks companies receive, why they receive them, what would happen to the industry if they were eliminated and how much revenue the U.S. estimates to gain if they were repealed.
