Jenny Gold talked about the federal and state run health insurance "exchanges" mandated by the 2010 health care law and scheduled to become available in 2014. The exchanges are online marketplaces where people may shop for insurance. Topics included how the Obama administration, states, and insurance companies planned to educate Americans about the exchanges in advance of the October 2013 enrollment launch. Ms. Gold also responded to telephone calls and electronic communications. Nancy Calo read news headlines from C-SPAN Radio at the end of the program.
