from C-SPAN Recent Video Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Robert Blake briefed reporters at the State Department on the situation in the central Asian nation of Kyrgyzstan. Opposition groups have taken over the government of the former Soviet Republic. Kyrgyzstan, of interest to the U.S. because of a large airbase used to supply forces in Afghanistan. Later, Spokesman P.J. Crowley conducted the daily press briefing.
