House and Senate Conference Committee Meeting on Wall Street Reform
The House-Senate Conference Committee members gave opening statements in the first days of negotiations on the financial regulations bill. Chairman Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA) announced that the committee will resume next Tuesday, June 15, and will start to debate and possibly vote on amendments to change three titles in the bill: the Derivatives Markets Transparency and Accountability Act, the Consumer Financial Protection Agency Act, the Capital Markets, and the Nonadmitted and Reinsurance Reform Act.
