House Natural Resources Cmte. Hearing on Gulf Oil Spill
BP America President Lamar McKay and Transocean Drilling Rig President Steven Newman testified on Capitol Hill on the “top kill” maneuver aimed at stopping the flow of oil into the Gulf of Mexico, and their financial commitment to the clean up. A Transocean rig mechanic told federal regulators recently that on the day of the explosion BP officials were told that they were cutting too many corners.
