U.S. stock futures retain rise after housing data
NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- U.S. stock futures held Tuesday gains after a report showing U.S. housing starts fell 5% in August. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average were up 56 points at 11,379. Those for the Standard & Poor's 500 Index gained 6.3 points to 1,204.10. Futures for the Nasdaq 100 Index added 19 points to 2,320.
