Apple shares cross $400 to new high
SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Shares of Apple Inc. crossed the $400 mark on Tuesday morning for the first time -- setting a fresh all-time high. The stock was last trading at $401.62, up 0.7% from the previous close. The shares have gained more than 6% since the company reported strong earnings growth for the June quarter last week, thanks to booming sales of the iPhone and iPad products. Apple shares are up about 25% since the first of the year.
