Hoyer Statement on 200 Days of Republican Control Without a Comprehensive Jobs Agenda

WASHINGTON, DC - House Democratic Whip Steny H. Hoyer (MD) released the following statement on Republican inaction on jobs on the 200th day of Republican control of the House of Representatives, which is tomorrow:
“Tomorrow marks the 200th day of Republican control of the House of Representatives and they have still not produced a comprehensive jobs plan. With millions of Americans out of work, Republicans have failed to put forth an agenda to create jobs, despite their campaign promises. We cannot afford to wait any longer.
“That failure stands in stark contrast to Democrats’ efforts, as we’ve worked hard to advance the Make It In America Agenda, a legislative program to help businesses stay here, grow here, innovate here and build products here and sell them to the world. Manufacturing is crucial to American competitiveness and the future of our middle class. Republicans have waited 200 days too long to get moving on a jobs plan, but they can start now by joining us in passing the Make It In America Agenda.”
