The latest Regional and State Employment and Unemployment news release

was issued today by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Highlights are below.

In June, 28 states and the District of Columbia reported over-the-
month unemployment rate increases, 8 had decreases, and 14 had no
change. Nonfarm payroll employment increased in 26 states and the
District of Columbia and decreased in 24 states.
