Senate approves Petraeus as CIA director
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Senate on Thursday voted overwhelmingly to confirm General David Petraeus, now commander of U.S. and NATO forces in Afghanistan, to be the new director of the Central Intelligence Agency.
