Senior Executive Service Announcements


Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates announced the following Department of Defense Senior Executive Service appointments and reassignments:
Shelly O. Stoneman has been appointed to the Senior Executive Service and is assigned as the special assistant to the secretary of defense for White House liaison, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Washington, D.C. Stoneman previously served as the special assistant to the president for legislative affairs, the White House, Washington, D.C.
Johnny A. Weida has been appointed to the Senior Executive Service and is assigned as vice director for operational plans and joint force development with the Joint Staff, Washington, D.C. Weida previously served as deputy director for operations, plans, and requirements, the U.S. Air Force, Washington, D.C.
Christine Wormuth has been assigned as senior director for defense policy and strategy, Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (Policy), Washington, D.C. Wormuth previously served as principal deputy assistant secretary of defense (homeland defense and Americas' security affairs), Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (Policy), Washington, D.C.
