White House Says Osama bin Laden is Dead
President Obama announced that the United States has killed Osama bin Laden.

American forces reportedly launched a "targeted assault" in Pakistan that killed bin Laden and ended a manhunt of nearly a decade for the architect of the September 11, 2001 attacks that left nearly 3,000 people dead.

It's hard to imagine a bigger political story.
