WEDNESDAY, MAY 4, 2011 AND THE BALANCE OF THE WEEK
On Wednesday, the House will meet at 10:00 a.m. for Morning Hour debate and 12:00 p.m. for legislative business. On Thursday, the House will meet at 9:00 a.m. for legislative business with last votes no later than 3:00 p.m. On Friday, no votes are expected in the House.

H.R. 3 – No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act (Rep. Smith (NJ) – Judiciary/Energy and Commerce/Ways and Means) (Subject to a Rule)

H.R. 1230 – Restarting American Offshore Leasing Now Act (Rep. Hastings (WA) – Natural Resources) (Subject to a Rule)

Possible Consideration of H.R. 1229 – Putting the Gulf of Mexico Back to Work Act (Rep. Hastings (WA) – Natural Resources) (Subject to a Rule)

The Rules Committee is scheduled to meet on the following days:
· Monday, May 2, 2011 at 5:00 p.m. to report a Rule for H.R. 1213 – To Repeal the Mandatory Funding Provided to States in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act to Establish American Health Benefit Exchanges. We expect a Structured Rule and Amendments must be submitted to the Rules Committee by 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 2, 2011.
· Monday, May 2, 2011 at 5:00 p.m. to report a Rule for H.R. 1214 – To Repeal Mandatory Funding for School-Based Health Center Construction. We expect a Modified Structured Rule which may require that amendments be pre-printed in the Congressional Record prior to their consideration. Amendments should be submitted for printing in the Congressional Record on the legislative day of Monday, May 2, 2011.
· Monday, May 2, 2011 at 5:00 p.m. to report a Rule for H.R. 3 – No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act. We expect a Closed Rule.
· Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. to report a Rule for H.R. 1229 – Putting the Gulf of Mexico Back to Work Act and H.R. 1230 – To require the Secretary of the Interior to conduct certain offshore oil and gas lease sales. We expect a Structured Rule for both bills. Amendments for H.R.1229 must be submitted to the Rules Committee by 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 and Amendments for H.R. 1230 must be submitted to the Rules Committee by 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 4, 2011.
