April 28, 2011

SECRETARY CLINTON: Good afternoon. It’s a great pleasure to welcome the minister here for a meeting and consultation on not only the important relations that we hold with Oman, but also the trends and actions that are occurring throughout the region.
I was greatly honored to have an important visit with the sultan just a few months ago, and so I am very privileged to be able to welcome you here, Minister.
MINISTER BIN ALAWI: Thank you. Thank you, Secretary. Yes, indeed, we do this consultation once every year, and that’s because we have an important relationship to care for, so this is very important. It comes in the time where the region are stirring up in many ways. And I believe in what we have already talked to each other; we are all in agreement on what is the sort of solutions we need to promote in order to promote our – particularly our younger generation, which is now is, in many places in that region of our world, are demanding real changes for their future life.
SECRETARY CLINTON: Thank you. Thank you very much. Thank you.
