H.R. 1079 - Airport and Airway Extension Act of 2011 (Rep. Mica - Transportation and Infrastructure/Ways and Means) This legislation would extend certain authorities for the Federal Aviation Administration until May 31.
H.R. 839 – The HAMP Termination Act (Rep. McHenry – Financial Services) (One Hour of General Debate) H.R. 839 would terminate the authority of the Secretary of the Treasury to provide assistance in accordance with the Home Affordable Modification Program, which gives financial incentives to mortgage servicers to help lower mortgage payments for homeowners. The bill would allow for homeowners, who are already participating in the program prior to enactment of this legislation, to continue in the program.

H.R. 839 also contains a provision that directs the Treasury Department to conduct a study and based on that study, issue a report on the best practices for other programs that could be used to help veterans, service members and their immediate families as homeowners. The study and the legislation contain no plan to create jobs.

Some 54 Republicans voted against the most recent CR negotiated by GOP leaders, after several prominent conservative groups and Republican Study Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (Ohio) came out strongly against it despite its $6 billion in cuts, while others said they would back the latest bill but insisted they would not support any more short-term CRs.”
