Assistant Secretary of State William R. Brownfield Visits Jordan, Jerusalem, the West Bank and Vienna

On Friday, March 18, 2011, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) William R. Brownfield began a three-day trip to Jordan, Jerusalem and the West Bank to review the INL Palestinian Authority Security Sector Program and meet with key Jordanian and Palestinian counterparts. During this trip, his first to Jordan, Jerusalem and the West Bank, Assistant Secretary Brownfield visited several key sites at each location.
The INL Palestinian Authority Security Sector Program has been praised by the Palestinian Authority and the international donor community. The program has witnessed increased coordination of activities amongst international donors, and is achieving notable progress on security, justice, corrections, and other new fronts.
On Sunday, March 20, 2011, Assistant Secretary Brownfield travels to Vienna for two days to address the 54th Session of the United Nations Commission on Narcotic Drugs and to meet with counternarcotics officials and diplomats.
