FDP JJ 2010 Updates!
Dear Friends and Young Democrats,

It is my pleasure on behalf of the Executive Committee to share some good news with you. While some information might have been released prior to our expectations please use this email to forward to your membership since it contains all of the final details.

JJ Gala Dinner Tickets
Your FYD leaders with the help of FDP Vice-Chair Rhett Bullard and DCCA Chair Alison Morano negotiated a steep discount for active Young Democrats 30 years of age or younger. These discounted dinner tickets for Active Members Only are selling for $100! That is $80 less than the regular price. YDs over 30 who are interested in this price please contact me directly and we hope to work that out on a case by case basis.

I know what many of you might still be thinking... $100 for dinner? For those who can afford it please remember that the FDP is covering their costs and still asking for a modest donation. For those who can not afford this cost please let me know if you are still interested in attending the dinner. Please email convention@FLYoungDems.org with your full name, county chapter you are a member of and cell phone number. We will alert if you directly if other opporunities become available. It is very important to get an accurate count!

Westin Diplomat Hotel Rooms
I secured rooms for Young Democrats that have been subsidized. A regular room under the FDP rate would cost $188 a night after tax. I have 6 rooms available at a cost of $144 a night including taxes. If you are interested in one of these rooms please email me at President@FLYoungDems.org as soon as possible. Ideally, these rooms will be taken by counties like Jacksonville, Alachua, Lee and others who are traveling distances to be there and plan to fill up the rooms. They MUST be paid in full by check by July 9th.

FDP Meetings of Note
There are various meetings of importance throughout the weekend. I would like our County Presidents and Statewide leadership to mark the following meetings in their schedule since they are very important to attend on Saturday. Our leadership should also be prepared to meet on Friday evening to discuss business for the weekend briefly.

3:00 PM - 4:00 PM FLORIDA COLLEGE DEMOCRATS Location: Room 315
4:00 PM - 5:00 PM FLORIDA YOUNG DEMOCRATS Location: Room 315

FYD Central Committee Meeting
There will be a short Central Committee Meeting on Saturday, July 17, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. at the Westin Diplomat, Hollywood, FL in Room 315. All are welcome to attend. For those wishing to propose Constitutional Amendment the deadline is fast approaching. Please submit them to Secretary@FLYoungDems.org so Ryan can forward it to the rest of the Committee.
