North Korea: White House Endorses ROK Demands for North Korean Apology; Plus Remarks by the Secretary of State on the Cheonan Incident
The North Korea MiPAL has been updated with articles from the Institute for Security and Development Policy, the Center for Strategic and International Studies, and the U.S. Institute of Peace analyzing the regional and international implications of the Cheonan incident, remarks by the Secretary of State and the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Korea concerning the sinking of the South Korean naval vessel and detailing current approaches to North Korea's behavior, a statement by the White House Press Secretary expressing U.S. endorsement for the President of the Republic of Korea's demand that North Korea immediately apologize and punish those responsible for the Cheonan attack, and an Institute for Security and Development Policy report examining North Korea's military, political, and nuclear structures and ambitions, and detailing international responses to the threat of a nuclear North Korea.
