Subject: One Seat Closer to 2/3rds--Join us in Santa Clara County for the Invasion!
Dear Fellow Young Democrats,

Come help us win back a Republican seat in one of the most important California races all year! Join the California Young Democrats on Saturday, June 12th from 11am-5pm for a Regional Invasion of State Senate District 15 in Santa Clara County. Santa Clara County is battleground zero for the race, and we need your help! Sign-up by clicking HERE.

Former Democratic Assemblymember John Laird has the opportunity to take back Senate District 15, a seat that has a Democratic registration advantage, in a special election June 22nd. President Obama won the 15th Senate District by over 20 points in 2008!

This past weekend, over 30 Young Democrats from all over California converged on the San Luis Obispo portion of the district to talk to fellow young voters about the importance of electing Democrat John Laird to represent the Central Coast in the State Senate. Every conversation with a voter was an educational opportunity to explain when this special election is happening, and to clear up confusion about why there would be an election two weeks after the June 8th primary. (Thanks, Arnold!) Turnout of Democrats will be the key to victory, and we need your help to get there!

If we are able to take back this Senate seat, we are only one Senator away from a 2/3rds Democratic majority in the Senate! We need your help to make sure that young democrats get out and vote (or mail in those ballots).
