Hoyer Statement on President Obama's Reduce Unnecessary Spending Act

WASHINGTON, DC - House Majority Leader Steny H. Hoyer (MD) released the following statement today on President Obama's Reduce Unnecessary Spending Act:

“Democrats are committed to strengthening fiscal responsibility, as shown by our enactment of statutory PAYGO and creation of a bipartisan fiscal commission. We are looking at all tools available to reduce the deficit, including expedited rescission, which could help cut down on unnecessary spending. I look forward to working with the President and our Members as we discuss this legislation.”
