Obama to go to New York to talk about bank reform
from MarketWatch.com - MarketPulse WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) -- President Barack Obama will go to New York on Thursday to urge quick action on financial reform, the White House announced Monday. The speech will be at the Cooper Union, the site of Obama's first major address on the banking crisis, in March 2008. "Almost two years after the crisis hit and almost one year after the administration first laid out a detailed plan for holding Wall Street accountable and protecting consumers, he will call for swift Senate action," the statement said.
