General Officer Announcements

Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel announced today that the President has made the following nominations:

Air Force Lt. Gen. Brooks L. Bash has been nominated for appointment to the rank of lieutenant general and for assignment as vice commander, Air Mobility Command, Scott Air Force Base, Ill. Bash is currently serving as director for logistics, J-4, Joint Staff, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.

Air Force Lt. Gen. Stephen L. Hoog has been nominated for appointment to the rank of lieutenant general and assignment as assistant vice chief of staff and director, Air Staff, United States Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C. Hoog is currently serving as commander, Alaskan Command, United States Pacific Command; commander, Eleventh Air Force, Pacific Air Forces; and commander, Alaskan North American Defense Region, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska.
