Flag Officer Announcements

Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus and Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Jonathan W. Greenert announced today the following assignments:

Rear Adm. (lower half) Paul B. Becker, will be assigned as director for intelligence, J2, Joint Staff, Washington, D.C. Becker is currently serving as director for intelligence, J2, U.S. Pacific Command, Camp H.M. Smith, Hawaii.

Capt. Daryl L. Caudle, who has been selected for promotion to rear admiral (lower half), will be assigned as deputy chief, support/security agreements, Office of Defense Representative, Pakistan. Caudle is currently serving as chief of staff, commander, Submarine Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.

Capt. Lisa M. Franchetti, who has been selected for promotion to rear admiral (lower half), will be assigned as commander, Navy Region Korea/commander, U.S. Naval Forces Korea/commander, Naval Component, U.S. Forces Korea, United Nations Command, Korea. Franchetti is currently serving as Navy military assistant to the secretary of the Navy, Washington, D.C.

Capt. Roy J. Kelley, who has been selected for promotion to rear admiral (lower half), will be assigned as chief of Naval Air Training, Corpus Christi, Texas. Kelley is currently serving as chief of staff, commander, Naval Air Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet, San Diego, Calif.

Capt. Cynthia M. Thebaud, who has been selected for promotion to rear admiral (lower half), will be assigned as commander, logistics group, Western Pacific/commander, Task Force 73/commander, Navy Region Singapore. Thebaud is currently serving as chief operating officer, N7, Naval Education and Training Command, Norfolk, Va.
